Margaret G. Paoluccio

Lifelong Staten Islander; had 25-year career in social work and HR Margaret G. Paoluccio (nee: Barracato) was a lifelong Staten Islander, born on October 6, 1937, and passed away this Christmas Eve in 2022. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Frank V. Paoluccio, Sr., her parents Lucy and Novello (Benny) Barracato, brother, Nicholas, sister-in-law Maria (Bunny), and grandson, Michael. She is survived by her brother, Joseph and his wife Marie, sister-in-law Doris Barracato. Margaret's four children and their spouses: Louis and daughter-in-law Angela, Frank and daughter-in-law, Lora, James and daughter-in-law Lynmarie, and daughter Laura Paoluccio Valle. Margaret had nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, along with a loving extended family. Margaret married her childhood sweetheart, Frank, and became a mother of four. She graduated from Curtis High School in 1955, then earned her Bachelor's degree from CSI in 1986. She was an active member of her children's school and community. Margaret went back to work in1972 at Island Chevrolet. She was employed at Doctor's Hospital for 25 years as a social worker and director of the Human Resource Department. She volunteered her time as a secretary of the Granito-Smith Post. Margaret was a lifelong parishioner/lecturer of Assumption Church. In her leisure, Margaret enjoyed vacationing at the beach and had an immense love for reading. Margret will be remembered for her devotion to her family, friends and church. Funeral from Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Friday, 10:00AM. Mass of Christian Burial at Assumption Church at 11:00AM. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
