Maria Bolusi Native of Italy, tended lovingly to her family and to her garden Maria Bolusi, 93, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. She was born April 25, 1928 in the town of Saint Appolinaro, Italy. She immigrated to New York from Italy after World War II and, joined by her late husband Dominick, started a family in Brooklyn, where their three children Anna Carfora, Mario, and Dominick Jr., were born. In 1965, the family moved to Eltingville, Staten Island. As she continued to raise 3 children, Maria worked as a seamstress for 10 years at the former Rosbil dress factory in Port Richmond. She took great pride in her spectacular garden and was a talented cook, making all things with love. Maria was the most dedicated wife, devoted mother, caring grandmother and great grandmother. Above all she loved her family and like her garden, nurtured it as it grew larger. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons Mario and Dominick Jr. and their spouses, Patricia and Deborah. She leaves behind four granddaughters Justine, Morgan, Alexandra, and Briana and their spouses, in addition to her beloved great-grandchildren Vincent, Ella, Juliette, Riley, and Hudson. Maria's kindness, faith, love of family, and devotion to her late husband will continue to remain an inspiration to all of those who knew her. Funeral will be from the Bedell-Pizzo Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 7, at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
