Regina L. Neller Devoted Mother and Grandmother, 75 Regina L. Neller of New Dorp, Staten Island, NY, passed away at home on Monday, September 6, 2021, within the embrace of her family, after a brave 2-year battle with Ovarian Cancer. She was 75 years old. Born on August 14, 1946, and raised in South Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Rychter. Regina relocated to New Dorp in 1969 with her mother and daughter, Therese. More recently she combined homes with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren, moving to Oakwood Heights in 2018. A hard-working woman her entire life, by 1966 she headed off to Wall Street. She joined the financial workforce of Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fener & Smith Inc., holding various positions, and climbing the career ladder, for nearly 40 years, finally retiring in 2005. Regina is survived by her brother, Joseph Rychter (Patricia), her daughter, Therese Cobb (Paul), and her grandchildren, Brianna Rose and Paul Gregory Cobb. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends who will miss her dearly. Regina was that rare person - warm, tough, kind, thoughtful, gentle, bossy, and giving. She was an amazing mother and a dedicated friend. She was a woman of strong Catholic faith. Family meant everything to her, and she enjoyed taking photos of everyone, or dropping off silly little gifts to loved ones. She cherished gathering with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren, to make memories for all to remember.
