Robert Litkenhaus

Retired Lieutenant, South Beach Fire Department Long time Grant city resident Robert Litkenhaus a native Staten Island and devoted St. Christophers parish member, passed away November 7, 2022 at home. He was a loving husband to Lorraine Litkenhaus and father to four children. Robert, also called Bob, enjoyed a full life of 94 years and 68 years with his wife. He was a graduate of Tottenville high school. Join the DSNY, changed to NYPD for two years and settled in on FDNY which he stayed for 35 years. He retired as a lieutenant from South Beach fire house. Bob and Lorraine enjoyed both square and round dancing, tennis, camping, traveling the world, playing cards with friends and participated in the senior Olympics for 10 years. Bobs other hobbies included boy scouts with his boys, Archery, collecting stamps and coins, bowling, racquetball, avid sports fan and an excellent artist. He was a carpenter and handyman for many people. He loved doing puzzles and continued up until his passing. He is survived by his children Sue Arciprete (Paul), Tom (late Linda) Robert (Cathy), Sandy (Liz). Adoring 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Colonial funeral home, Sunday 11/13 4-9pm.
