Sharon Clarke

Known for her resilience & courage, loved being a grandmother Sharon Clarke, 76, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2022 in Gracedale Nursing Home after a long and courageous struggle with Frontotemporal Dementia. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Alice Connors, a brother Joseph & great grandson Liam. She is survived by her brother Robert Connors (Linda), her 3 children; Sharon (Anthony) Ciccone, Joseph McCarthy (Denise Fegley) and Christina (Michael) Nigro and her grandchildren; Anthony, Christina, Megan, Michael, Robert, Brittany, Jake, Michael, Matthew, Maxwell and Lilly (and Missy and Vanessa), as well as her sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Sharon was born and raised in Staten Island, NY where she resided until 1991 when she moved to Montclair, NJ, then Clifton, NJ in 2001. After retiring from Calyon Bank in 2005, she moved to Pennsylvania where she remained until her death. Sharon was known as a strong, independent woman who persisted regardless of any obstacle she faced. She leaves her resilience and courage to live on in her children. Sharon loved being a grandmother to her grandchildren more than anything else in her life. She will be missed dearly. Sharon's family wants to extend their gratitude to the staff of Gracedale, who cared for her in such a dedicated, kind way in the last few years of her life, even through 2 episodes of COVID. And also to St Luke's VNA for their compassionate care. A Memorial Service will be held in Sharon's honor at Schmidt Funeral Home 407 Belvidere St Nazareth, PA on February 19, 2022 from 2pm - 4pm followed by a gathering of friends and family at Kingfish Bistro in Bethlehem, PA.
