Suzanne Elizabeth Speedling Loved to celebrate life Suzanne Elizabeth Speedling passed away on Monday, June 14, while visiting family in Georgia. Born on November 28, 1947 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Bessie Sanacora. She was predeceased by her brother, Gary and sister, Gail Leeds. Suzanne attended Bishop McDonnell H.S., City College and St. John's University. She was the mother of six children, Thomas, Jeniffer, Ethan, Meghan, Jeremy and Scarlet all of whom she loved unconditionally. Each summer, Suzanne looked forward to volunteering at the JoAnn Young Special Olympics Swim Meet. Suzanne also was the track mom when her children ran track for Tottenville H.S. and she especially enjoyed being the swim team mom when her children swam for Village Greens Swim Club. Suzanne was a people person who loved to dance and celebrate life. Suzanne is survived by her husband of 53 years, Tom, her brother Gerard, all of her aforementioned children, and also her 12 grandchildren, Summer, Jack, Riley, James, Scarlett, Elizabeth, Presley, Finn, Meadow, Willow, Everly and Amelia. A memorial service will take place at the Marina Caf on June 30th from 4 to 8 p.m.

We are so sorry for your loss. Suzanne gave me advise once which she used the words "family obligation". I often think and use those words often. May the Lord give you strength and comfort during this difficult time.

So very sorry to all of you on the loss of your wife and mom. I´ll never forget those Interclub summers where she never missed a meet but always had a baby on her hip. She was always friendly to everyone and a well-liked Village Greens swim mom
