Theresa 'Terry' Racanelli Dedicated volunteer, beloved sister, cherished aunt, 74 Theresa "Terry" Racanelli, 74, passed away on June 21, 2021, at Staten Island University Hospital North. Born in Manhattan to parents, Vito Racanelli and Jesse (nee Gallo), she moved with her family to the South Beach section of Staten Island before settling in Eltingville with her beloved brother and primary caregiver, Vincent Racanelli. Terry lost her sight when she was a young girl during a surgical procedure. She became a dedicated volunteer working with local charities for the blind and visually impaired. Terry enjoyed listening to music and television programs, but most of all loved when her family was together for Holidays and special occasions. Terry was the beloved sister of Vincent Racanelli and the late Saverio Racanelli; beloved sister-in-law of Ann Racanelli; cherished aunt of Gean, Jerry and Susan and and many great-nieces and nephews. She was also survived by her many dear cousins. A. Azzara Funeral Home, 183 Sand Lane, Staten Island, NY 10305 has been entrusted with Theresa Racanelli's funeral arrangements which include visiting on Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm. Chapel Service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 6pm. Arrangements also include private cremation and interment of cremains at St. Peter's Cemetery with her beloved parents. A.
