SIDNEY - Bonnita Sue "Bonnie" Cotterman, age 74, of Sidney, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Wilson Health in Sidney.
She was born on May 1, 1947, in Sidney, to the late Chester and Agnes (Clark) Trowbridge.
Bonnie is survived by her children: Denise Hoover, Doug (fiancé Delane Tyler) Hoover, Jr. and Christopher Hoover, all of Sidney; grandchildren: Sasha Hoover of Knoxville, Tennessee, Nicholas Hoover of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Nikole (Gaige) Overton of Sidney; 2 great-grandchildren: Emmett Szklarski and Lindyn Overton; sister: Diane (Robert) Elliott; nephew: Robert Elliott Jr., all of Sidney; niece: Debra (Mike) Laman of Wapakoneta; special friends: Teresa Stackonis of Sidney and Bob Scholz of New Carlisle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Michael Cotterman. They were married on June 11, 2005.
Bonnie retired after 33 years from United Telephone/Sprint and was also employed at Holloway/Augusta Sportswear for 22 years. She made many friends from her time there. She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Sidney, where she was an Elder. She also attended the Pasco United Methodist Church where with her husband, Michael, they volunteered for the youth ministry and outreach programs. Bonnie loved her church family and was known for her great sense of humor.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, Ohio. Visitation will be from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens.
