QUINCY - David Jay King, 72, of Quincy passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 11:51 PM at Kettering Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born on February 9, 1952, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph and Patsy (Brewer) King.
He left behind Kate Patton, who was the light of his life and siblings, Steve (Judy Gilfillen) King of Quincy, Mark (Susan) King of Sidney and Terri Roediger of Sidney. Numerous nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces, and Kate's family, who were considered as his family too.
Dave farmed all his life around the Quincy area. He enjoyed being outside, taking trips and playing cards. Dave looked forward to the King's Thanksgiving where there are 4 generations of cousins coming together for fellowship and good food. He was a great one for teasing and being teased. Dave really didn't know a stranger. He enjoyed being with family.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date. In keeping with Dave's wishes, there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the organization of donor's choice in honor of Dave. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S.
