SIDNEY -- Kathleen A. Crager, 67, of Sidney, Ohio, was called home to heaven on November 26th, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 2nd, 1954, in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of Harold E. and Rosa P. (Riethman) Bailey. On September 14th, 1996, Kathy married Jimmie L. Crager.
Kathy is survived by Jimmie L. Crager, her husband of 25 years, along with one brother Richard A. (Beth) Bailey of Minster and one niece Jane E. Bailey. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert J. Bailey.
Kathy graduated from Fairlawn high school, class of 1972, and went on to obtain her Bachelor of Physical Education degree from Urbana College in Urbana, Ohio. In 1979 Kathy coached the first Fairlawn Jr High Girls Basketball team. She worked at Ernst Sporting Goods in Minster, Ohio for many years. Kathy rode with the Purple Pedalers in the 2009 Macy's Day parade in New York City. Kathy enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a member of the GWRRA. She loved playing softball, basketball, painting, arts and crafts, traveling, spending time with her dog Sadie, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Kathy was a member of the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney, Ohio.
In keeping with Kathy's wishes she will be cremated, and a graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, December 10th, 2021, at Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco, Ohio with Deacon Philip Myers officiating. Online condolences may be left for the Crager family at www.salm-mcgillandtangemanfh.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wilson Hospice in Sidney, Ohio.
