SIDNEY - Kristi Lynn Marcum, age 67, of Sidney, Ohio passed away peacefully at 11:45 A.M. on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in the comfort of her home. A woman of grace, strength, and unmistakable spirit, Kristi lived her life with a sparkle that touched everyone who knew her.
Kristi was born on September 17, 1958, in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lester and Mildred (Geise) Kinninger. She grew up on the beloved family farm with her three older sisters, constantly surrounded by aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was a 1976 graduate of Fairlawn High School and the Joint Vocational School. She went on to receive an associate's degree in business administration and management from Edison University.
Kristi married her one true love, Mark Marcum, on June 23, 1979. Their story was one of laughter, shared adventures, and deep devotion - a love that endured through every joy and sorrow. Kristi was preceded in death by two precious little ones, Thomas and Derek, who she now holds once more in her loving arms. Kristi is also survived by one sister, Jane Grogean, and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her treasured parents and two sisters, Sharon Kerber and Donna Vonderhuevel.
Kristi touched countless lives in her thirty-year career at the Shelby County Board of Developmental Disabilities, serving as the Business Director. After retirement, Kristi went on to use her gift of gab and sense of style to become a successful Realtor, Accredited Staging Professional, and freelance interior design consultant.
Kristi loved getting together with her family and friends, and cherished traditions like beach trips, girls' shopping sprees, and holiday celebrations. However, what Kristi loved most of all was time with Mark, whether they were traveling the world or enjoying a quiet night in. Kristi could shop until she dropped and did so with style and laughter every step of the way.
