KETTERING -- Marcella "Marcy" Walter, age 71 of Kettering, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on February 12, 1952, at Eglin Airforce Base in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, the daughter of John and Alberta (Moses) York.
Marcy is survived by her loving family, husband John Walter, children, Corey (Dewey) Messer and Christopher Walter, grandchildren, Alivia, Jonah, Elijah, Remington, Jaxon, Taylor, Reese, and Travis, great grandchildren, Jasia, Malachi, Kamden, RJ, Cash, and Aria, siblings, David (Katie) Ridge, Gary (Michelle) York, Mona (Waylan) Murray, Angela (Brian) Johnson, Valerie York, Tammy (Al) Picariello, Sophia (Ralph) Portillo, and Amy (Steve) Brown and several nieces and nephews.
Marcy is preceded in death by her parents and daughter Jessica Walter.
Marcy loved spending time with her family, especially the grandkids. She loved to paint and was a talented artist. She enjoyed being an active part of her church over the years and was deeply rooted in her faith. Anyone who knew Marcy knew how hard she loved her family and friends, always accepting and loving. She was a treasure and will be missed beyond measure.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 12:00 PM (Noon) at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, 302 S. Main Ave. Sidney, Ohio 45365 with Pastor Preston Knasel, officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, 10:00 AM until the time of service.
