FORT LORAMIE - Maurice H. Quinter age 93 of Fort Loramie, Ohio passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at his home.
He was born August 21, 1932, in Cranberry Prairie, Ohio to the late Joseph & Philomena (Huwer) Quinter. He married Dorothy Siegel on August 10, 1955, in St. Augustine Church, Minster and she preceded him in death on March 20, 2020. He is survived by children: Deb & John Meinerding, Fort Loramie, Moe & Vicki Quinter, Fort Loramie, Charlie Quinter, Fort Loramie, Chris & Randy Huber, McCartyville, son-in-law, Steve Bollheimer, Fort Loramie, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, in-laws, Linda Siegel, Fort Loramie, Mike Siegel, New Bremen. He was preceded in death by daughter Katie Bollheimer in 2023, son John Quinter, 14 brothers & sisters, Dorothy & Edwin Dresher, Henry & Florence Quinter, Rosella & Carl Ossege, Henrietta & Herbert Barlage, Adeline & Louis Huelsman, Rudolph & Agnes Quinter, Loretta & Cletus Huelsman, Leona & Norbert Pleiman, Albert & Dorothy Quinter, Stella & Donald Klikovits, Anthony & Mary Ann Quinter, Edna & Thomas Lampert, Robert Quinter and Pauline & Leon Koehler, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Pat Muter, Jim Siegel, Jerry & Marilyn Siegel, Jay Siegel and Larry Siegel. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie. He was a US Army Veteran during Korean War, a longtime trustee of Cynthian Township and a lifetime member of the Newport Sportsman's Club. He was former avid hunter and a lifelong farmer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 3 to 7 PM on Monday November 24 and from 9 to 10 AM on Tuesday, November 25. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Fort Loramie Fire Department and the Fort Loramie Rescue Squad. Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com.
