FORT LORAMIE — Michael Jerome Geise, 57, of Dogwood Drive, Fort Loramie, passed away of natural causes, Thursday evening, Oct. 27, 2016, while helping with the fall harvest at the Geise family farm in Sidney.
He was born April 24, 1959, in Sidney, to Donald and Margaret (Dapore) Geise, of Sidney. On June 19, 1981, in the St. Michael Catholic Church in Fort Loramie, Mike married Jennifer (Kendall) Geise, who survives. Also surviving are three children, Heather and Todd Prenger, of Versailles, Aaron Schafer, of New Bremen, and Michelle and Dwane Smith, of Aberdeen; four grandchildren, Natalie and Lauren Prenger, Destiny, Aaron "AJ" Jr. and Sebastian "Zeb" Schafer; five siblings, John and Kathy Geise, of Sidney, Tom and Lisa Geise, of Fort Loramie, Don and Cathy Geise, of Fort Loramie, Kevin and Angie Geise, of Houston, and Peggy and Dave Grewe, of Fort Loramie; mother-in-law, Rita Kendall, of Minster; and sister-in-law, Pam and Mike Peltier, of Fort Loramie. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Jerald Kendall.
Mr. Geise was a 1977 graduate of Fort Loramie High School and had been a semi-truck driver employed at Precision Strip Inc. since 1984. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the Mendon H.O.G. Chapter of Harley owners. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and could tout details about almost any bike, vintage to new. Mike loved his grandchildren and he enjoyed telling stories to make people laugh. He wouldn't miss helping at the farm with spring planting or the fall harvest.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, in the St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie with the Rev. Steven Shoup presiding. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
Friends may call, Tuesday, from 2 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, from 9 to 10 a.m., at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie. Memorials may be made to the Fort Loramie Rescue Squad or charity of donor's choice. Condolences may be expressed at www.gehretfuneralhome.com.

havent seen mike in awhile but when i lived in loramie and rode with him always felt welcome.i felt mike was a friend and he will be missed.my heart goes out to all his family and friends.
