MINSTER - Ronald A. Snyder, 86, passed away after complications of a stroke. He passed peacefully on September 14, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on March 11, 1939, he was the son of the late Noble A. and Mabel (Studebaker) Snyder, Ronald lived a life full of adventure, hard work, and devotion to those he cherished most.
Ronald was married to the love of his life Susan (Westerbeck) Snyder, with whom he shared countless memories and adventures. Survivors include four daughters: Tamy Snyder of Florida: Julie Lamoreaux of Now Bremen: Mary Ann (Brian) Herriott of New Bremen, and Denise (Tim) Stinson of Dickson, TN, 3 grandchildren: Drew Lamoreaux, Nathan Herriott, and Haley Stinson and 2 great grandchildren Makalah and Bryce Lamoreaux and his brother Keith (Rosie) Snyder of Piqua,
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ray Snyder &: T. Dale Snyder, and 6 sisters: Norma Lyons, Donna Lemmon, Sue Lavey, Betty Giesseman, Marceil Apple, and Maxine Russell.
Ronald was best known for his passion for hydroplane boat racing, where his skill, determination, and love for the water made him both respected and admired. Beyond his accomplishments, he will be remembered as a man of integrity, strength, and generosity - someone who always gave his best, whether on the water, at work, or with family.
Ronald's legacy extends through his loved ones who will carry his spirit forward. He will be remembered not only for his achievements but for his humor, loyalty, and the way he touched the lives of so many.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
There will be a Celebration of Life, at New Bremen Ohio Legion on October 3, 2025, at 5 p.m.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

I knew Ron when I was a kid just out of high school. He helped in so many ways get started in boat racing.. One time in 1975 he loaned me his lifejacket and sure enough I had to use it. when I finally got back to the pits I apologized profusely. Ron's response: Well that's what it's for. Ron you are mused
