SIDNEY - Shirley M. Block, age 81, of Sidney, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born on March 26,1943, in Wapakoneta to the late Joseph T. and Mary (Elliott) Martin.
Shirley is survived by step children: Shelly (Azael) Diaz of Holland, Ml, and Chelsea White of Centerville, OH; grandchildren: Marcos Diaz and Aiden White; siblings: Kathy (Joe) Leuger of Lakeview, OH, Kenneth (Hope) Martin of Bellefontaine, OH, Carl (Barb ) Martin of Uniopolis, OH, Peggy (Paul) Griffin of Ardmore, TN and Charles (Mary Lou) Martin of Dayton, OH; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands: William Dietz and Dale G. Block; one sister: Mary Anne Tuttle-Hrisko; and two brothers: Bill Martin and James Martin.
Shirley was a 1961 graduate of Wapakoneta High School. She was an administrative assistant at Norcold in Sidney for 40 years. Shirley was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McCartysville. She enjoyed going on cruises, sewing, cooking, playing cards and spending time with her family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney with Fr. John Tonkin as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney. Family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM on Thursday at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney.
