MINSTER - Thomas L. Griner, age 88, of Minster, Ohio, died on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Elmwood Assisted Living, New Bremen, Ohio.
He was born on August 29, 1937, in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Leo & Hilda (Wise) Griner. He married Janice Meyer on May 29, 1957, and she preceded him in death on June 3, 2003. He is survived by children: Terence & Lisa Griner, Michael Griner, Kathleen & Bob Winner, Peggy Sprague, all of Minster, 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, sister; Marcia Schulze, Fort Loramie, in-laws, David & Dottie Meyer, Fort Loramie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law Allen Sprague, 3 great grandchildren, brother Ted Griner, brother-in-law Jim Schulze. Tom began G & G Tool Co., Inc in 1966 where he worked for over 34 years until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Minster F.O.E. #1391, Moose Lodge, and Arrowhead Golf Course. Tom was an avid golfer and played an integral part of the expansion of Arrowhead Golf Course to 18 holes in 1992. Tom loved spending time with his family and following the activities of his grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:00 AM, Saturday, October 11, 2025, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, with burial to follow at St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 4 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grand Lake Hospice.
