Arthur Whiting Obituary
March 5, 1935 – January 9, 2025
Dammeron Valley - Arthur (Art) Charles Whiting 89, born Los Angeles, CA March 5, 1935. A beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully at St. George, Utah on January 9, 2025. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Oscar Arthur Whiting and Georgia Edna Schofield Whiting and his wife of 50 years Caryl E Wertz.
Art served in the military for the Marines from 1955 - 1957 on an aircraft carrier. He worked in the entertainment industry and was a builder. One of his hobbies included roping as a header and won several events over the years. This continued until just the year before he died at 89 years old.
They had two sons: Arthur John Whiting and Mathew Whiting from California.
Art married again to his current wife, Mary Lynn Dalrymple Whiting in St George Utah. They were together for 6 years before his passing.
Art was an active and dedicated person to his family and friends. Internment will be at the Los Angeles National Cemetery, 950 S. Sepulveda Blvd., Los Angeles, CA. Feb 19th, 2025 Service will be at 1:30 pm. Please arrive half hour ahead.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Whiting. He was always smiling and had a witty way about him. A very thoughtful man who always took time to talk. He will be missed. Thoughts and prays to his family.
