Joann Oliver Obituary
Joann Oliver, a devoted wife, loving mother, doting grandmother, and adoring great-grandmother, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the age of 76 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Indianapolis on December 6, 1937, Joann eventually made her way out to California in 1959.
She married her husband, Norton "Norte" Dee Oliver in 1986 and the two made a life for themselves in Lake Elsinore, CA where Joann worked as City Clerk.
Joann's favorite pastime was running and she was a passionate athlete and triathlete, participating in 5Ks even after her diagnosis. She and her husband could often be seen running or biking around Lake Elsinore and were regular fixtures at races. They traveled the world, visiting Peru, Europe and China, among other places. They also took regular trips to the beach, which Joann always loved to visit.
A woman of faith and grace, Joann never hesitated to put the needs of others before her own. Her love of, and passion for, life were infectious to those around her. She was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
Joann is survived by her husband, Norte; her sister Judy Evard; five daughters and stepdaughters; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

My deepest condolences to the Oliver family. May you find comfort in knowing that when God restores Paradise, he will undo all causes of suffering. (Ps 37:11) Then our tears of sorrow will become tears of great joy. May your memories continue to provide you comfort at this time of great sorrow.
