Curtis Logue Obituary

Curtis Junior Logue

July 15, 1935 - November 21, 2025

Curtis Junior Logue, 90, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on November 21, 2025, at Wakefield Care Center, surrounded by the love of his family.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2025, at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave., in Sioux City, Iowa, with Pastor Marty Davis officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 4 pm to 6 pm at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Born on July 15, 1935, in Sioux City, Curtis was the son of Carlton Logue and Pearl Lundgren. He attended school in Sioux City and lived a life marked by quiet strength, dedication, and deep love for those around him. At the age of 18, he joined the United States Army, serving bravely during the final months of the Korean War. He was deployed to Korea, where he sustained a combat injury to his leg, and later continued his service as a Military Police officer in France before returning home.

On June 6, 1959, Curtis married the love of his life, Charlene Audrey (Parker) Logue, in Sioux City. Together they welcomed two children - Curtis Arthur in 1964 and Audrey Dawn in 1967 - and built their family with warmth, humor, and resilience. They made their home in South Sioux City, Nebraska, where Curtis worked for most of his life at Hawkeye Building Supply until his retirement.

Curtis was known for his storytelling and his jokes - you never knew when a story would begin, but you always knew it would be funny, heartfelt, or both. He loved fishing, camping, loved watching WWE and spending time with his family whenever he could. Despite long and demanding work hours throughout his life, he always found time to support and care for those he loved.

He is survived by his son Curtis (Carla) Logue, his daughter Audrey LeClair and her significant other Mark; and his grandchildren Colby Logue, Luke (Becky) Logue, Cody (Katee) Logue, Eric Fundermann, and Sophee Fundermann,; as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will carry his memory forward.

Curtis is preceded in death by his beloved wife Charlene; his parents Carlton Logue and Pearl Lundgren; his grandson Tad; his sisters Sherri and Sharon; his brothers Denny and John Logue; and his in-laws Charles and Rose Parker; along with brothers-in-law Dave, Tom, Sam, Charles ("Buddy"), Lyle, and Jerry Parker.
