Diane McLarty

July 16, 1949 - October 24, 2025

Diane M. McLarty, 76, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025. A memorial visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., with a brief remembrance time at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Siouxland Soup Kitchen or the Siouxland Humane Society.

Diane was born on July 16, 1949, in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Dorothy Terpenning. She graduated from Leeds High School. Diane married David McLarty on June 7, 1969.

She worked for Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield for many years.

Spending time with her family and friends brought Diane the greatest joy. She especially loved being with her grandson Jack and sharing new books with him. She also cherished family summers at Lake Okoboji, reading, gardening, and traveling with loved ones.

Diane is survived by her husband, David McLarty of Sioux City, Iowa; sons, Matthew (Elisha) McLarty of Sioux Falls, S.D., and James (Eva) McLarty of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Jack and Elizabeth; brothers, George, David, and Charles "JR"; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Debbie and Daniel.
