Judith A. "Judy" Tadlock, 78, died peacefully Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022, at her residence in Sioux City.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Christy-Smith Funeral Homes, Morningside Chapel, 1801 Morningside Ave., with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Mater Dei Parish-Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Judy A. Zebus, the daughter of Ben and Julia (Duda) Zebus, was born Feb. 23, 1944, in Sioux City. She graduated from Bishop Heelan Catholic High School in 1962. Judy went on the earn her Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Briar Cliff College.
On Sept. 5, 1966, Judy was united in marriage with James "Jim" Tadlock in Sioux City. She was employed at Iowa State University in the lab in the Department of Energy. Judy then went to work for Midtown Medical as a Medical Technologist until her retirement.
Judy was a member of Mater Dei Parish-Church of the Nativity. She loved gardening, lawn work, cooking, and baking. Judy was a very strong, kind, and giving person, and family was very important to her.
Judy is survived by her children, Jennifer (Chris Moore) Tadlock of Springfield, Mo., James Tadlock of Albuquerque, N.M., Jessica (Tim) Masselink of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Jonathan Tadlock of Sioux City; four grandchildren, Morgan, Emma, Tyler, and Julia; sister, Bernadine (Gene) Rolfes of Phoenix, Ariz.; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Joan.
