Sandra S. Kluender, age 79, of Moville, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at her residence in Moville.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. with the Pastor Ed Pease officiating at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Moville. Burial will be held at the Memorial Park Cemetery of Sioux City. The Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Moville is in charge of the arrangements.

Sandra Sue Kluender was born July 15, 1946, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Orville and Mary Ellen (Parks) Hardersen. She graduated from Central High School in 1964 then attended Morningside University.

She was united in marriage to Roger Kluender on March 2, 1968, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Sioux City. They were blessed with two children, Cindy and Ryan. Sandra and Roger lived and raised their family in Sioux City. In 1995, they purchased an acreage in Moville where they lived until 2005 when they moved into town.

Sandra worked at Job Service of Iowa as an unemployment and tax auditor, retiring in 2003. In her free time, she loved to quilt and was a member of the Siouxland Sampler Quilt Guild. She also volunteered at the Woodbury Central schools reading with children. Sandra's three grandsons were the joy of her life. She never missed a graduation, football game or school event. She loved watching her grandsons play football, first as Woodbury Central Wildcats, and later in college.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gary Hardersen in 2006.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Roger of Moville, Iowa; daughter, Dr. Cindy (Don) Marrow of Stafford, Va.; son, Ryan (Brandi) Kluender of Moville; grandsons, Ryan Marrow and Dallas and Drew Kluender; and sister, Jan (Ed) Dandurand of Florence, Ariz.

Sandra's love was endless, her sacrifices uncountable and her strength immeasurable.
