Violet Mulloy, 94, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed peacefully away of natural causes on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at St Anthony Nursing Home in Carroll, IA. Vi was born to Amelia and Emil Dewald on December 19, 1929, and was raised on a farm south of Tripp, SD. After graduating from high school, Vi moved to Sioux Falls, where she met and married Joe Mulloy in 1948. They were married for 55 years before Joe passed in 2003.

Graveside services were held in Sioux City on December 28, 2024. A celebration of life is scheduled for June 28,2025, from 1:00 4:00 p.m. at South Sioux City Marriott - Riverfront, 385 E 4th Street, South Sioux City, NE. All family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and church members are invited to come and celebrate with Vi. We are sure she will be with us because, as Joe would say, "She loves lots of people and a good party!"

Vi is survived by her daughter Kathi Peters of Carroll, IA, son Tim Mulloy (Nancy VandeWeerd) of Sioux Falls, SD, son Chuck Mulloy of Mountain View, CA, brother Arlo Dewald of Parkston SD, 10 grandchildren and 18 greatgrandchildren (note for this reason, she was called GG). She is also survived by a wild group of nieces and nephews who are always looking for a reason to party!

She was preceded in death by her husband Joe, sons Joel and Tom, son-in-law Bill Peters, daughter-in-law Linda Mulloy, sisters and brothers-in-law Luella and Paul Gaiser, Verletta and Del Wittmeier, sister-in-law Maydean Dewald.
