Al was a wonderful former next-door neighbor when we all lived on College Street. I will always remember his warm smile and pleasant demeanor. Greg and I ran into Al and Muriel many times over the past several years, and Al always made it a point to speak to us and catch up on family news. He will be missed. Murial, Gwen, Lisa and Laurel and your families, you have my condolences.

To the family of Albert L. Garber,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of bereavement. Our daughters both had Lisa Garber Reis at Black Hawk Grade School, and her father sounds like he was a wonderful person and teacher like she was.

To the whole Garber family I am so sorry for your loss what memories I have, the talent shows that were put on in the back yard on College Street, to Mr. Garber telling me not to break the ice that had formed on my dads car in the winter, what a soft spoken man I remember. May he rest in peace. Diane Hegland Springfield IL.

So sorry to hear of Al's passing. What a good christian friend. Murial and Al were my high school sunday school teachers and my husband and I enjoyed all of his War experiences that he shared with us. We would be there if we were not on our way to Az. God bless the Garber family

Special memories for a special man. Hearing "the good old days" brings back memories of College Street playing "Let's Make a Deal" on the front porch with the Garber girls. What fun we had and memories you have given me. Rest easy Mr. Garber. God Bless to the entire Garber Family.
