Benjamin Victor Zahner 1944 - 2018
Springfield, IL—Ben Zahner passed away Jan. 2, 2018, in Springfield, IL. He was born May 21, 1944, in St. Louis, MO, to Victor J. and Victoria (Dinsdale) Zahner. Ben is survived by his wife Wanda Mizell Webster Zahner of Petersburg, IL, whom he married on June 16, 1990; son Scott Victor (Mollie) Zahner of Mansfield, TX; daughters Patricia Zahner (Ray) Kowalczewski of Lenexa, KS, and Jennifer Dinsdale Zahner (Tom) Galczynski of Festus, MO; Jason (Dawn) Webster of High Ridge, MO, and Jerry Webster of St. Louis, MO; in addition to 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Ben was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Bob Mizell, Jennifer's mother Pamela Zahner Byerley and Robert Webster.
Services for Ben will be Monday, Jan. 8, at Rock Creek Presbyterian Church in Tallula, IL. Visitation will be at 9 a.m., with services officiated by Rev. David Daniel at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Rock Creek Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Rock Creek Presbyterian Church. Condolences for the family can be left online at HurleyFH.com. Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg, IL, is assisting the family with arrangements.
