Carolyn J. Stokes
HILLSBORO - Carolyn J. Stokes, 68, of Hillsboro, Il passed away on October 23, 2011 at Hillsboro Rehab and Healthcare.
She was born on June 24, 1943 in Chicago, Il, the daughter of Edna and Zearl Brown.
She is survived by sons Charles Stokes Jr., of Hillboro, Kent Stokes of Springfield, Timothy Stokes of Hillsboro; daughters Lisa Stokes and Rebecca Stokes both of Hillsboro; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Lonnie Brown, Joe (Lynn) Brown, Dennis (Mattie) Brown, John Brown, Greg Brown; and sisters Ruth Sullivan, Connie (Walt) Nicolls, Robin (Dennis) Niehaus, Diane Bilyeu and Sharon Black and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by son Mark Stokes and daughter Shelly Stokes.
Visitation will be held from 5 - 7 pm Tuesday at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Ryan Jackson on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 11 am at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Mt. Carmel in Ramsey, Ill.

I'm so glad that we got to spend time getting to know eachother better. Carolyn, was a wonderful and kind person who ment so much to so many and will be truely missed and always remembered. Blessings and love to her and her loved ones. I'm sorry for your loss.

Carolyn was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Our condolences to the family, may she rest in peace. Heaven has a wonderful new Angel. So sorry for your loss.
