DENVER - Charlene Collier-Simon, 71, of Denver, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2007, after being stricken with Alzheimer's disease six years ago.
She was born March 7, 1936, in Springfield. She married Jim Simon of Bismarck, N.D., moved to the Bay Area in 1957 and lived in Novato and San Rafael, Calif.
"Lolly" is survived by her three sisters, Patricia Best, Joyce Libben and Sue Steinbaugh; her three children, Debbie McGraw of Englewood, Colo., Bob of Larkspur, Calif., and Julie of Rohnert Park, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Lolly was a terrific mother and wife; she loved people and was the life of the party. She enjoyed reading, sewing and cooking and had lots of energy and enthusiasm. Lolly volunteered her time with Catholic Charities of Marin. She was known as Lolly by her close friends and family.
Divorced later in life, Lolly moved to the Denver area in the late 1990s to be near her daughter and sister.
We will miss her spirit, love of people and enthusiasm. Lolly was a lady with lots of warmth and love in her heart, selflessly giving of herself to others, and her optimism was contagious.

Joyce,
We will keep you and your family in our prayers. May you all find peace in the knowledge that she is free from all that binds us here on earth. God Bless you all.
