Deborah Harvey Obituary

Deborah "Moochie" Louise Harvey 1953 - 2018
Springfield, IL—Deborah "Moochie" Louise Harvey born October 27, 1953, and gained her wings on December 11, 2018. She joins her husband, Michael W Harvey in heaven where they can laugh, watch westerns every Saturday morning, eat cookies, and snuggle.
Deb was an absolutely beautiful and irreplaceable human. A kind soul. Hilarious. Incredibly brilliant. And so darn beautiful. Her eyes were this beautiful honey color and she had the longest eyelashes. She loved perfume. She loved Jeopardy and reading People magazines and James Patterson books. She loved playing Bingo. She loved getting her nails painted and really wanted to get a little frog tattooed on her arm.
Her laugh? Oh Lord. Her laugh was so big. You could tell she laughed with her whole body. She was always happy. Great big smile that took over her face and her caramel eyes shined bright.
She loved music. She loved Barry Manilow. She loved her family (especially her buddy Wally). She loved listening to music with her family. She hated talking on the phone but insisted you call her. She loved words. Saying them and hearing them and sharing them. She loved telling stories especially about growing up in the Boston area (skipping school to go to Red Sox games and to see the Rolling Stones comes to mind).
She was a brilliant bright light that filled the room. She lived everyday looking on the bright side and sharing the good she saw in everyone and everything.
She loved being a wife to Mikey, a sister to Thomas, Kathleen, Douglas, and David, a mother to Ashley, Xavier, Aurora, and Christina, and a grandma to Mira, Wally, and Baby Mott. She loved spending time with her buddy Jordan, watching Law and Order and eating snacks. She loved being a part of the Carlinville Rehab and Health Care family. She really enjoyed a nice cup of coffee at any hour of the day.
Everyday we got her on this planet, all that knew her were incredibly lucky. Now we are blessed for eternity to have her as a guardian angel.
Donations can be made in the form of random acts of kindness. Because as Deb always told us kids growing up, "God don't like ugly."

Christina and siblings,
We were so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. She will live on in each of you and her grandchildren. Even though we never met her, she obviously loved life and her children.
