Edna Earley Obituary
SPRINGFIELD, IL - Edna Marie Earley of Springfield, passed away at 3:15 pm Monday, March 7, 2016 at St. John's Hospice. She was born October 6, 1924, in Springfield, the daughter of John and Mary Kerar Gorsek. She married George P. Earley November 24, 1945.
A lifelong resident of Springfield, Mrs. Earley was employed as a Draftsperson at Sangamo Electric during WWII and later became a homemaker. She was a member of St. Agnes Church. Edna cherished spending time with her grandchildren, FitClub, Garage Sales and shopping.
Surviving are her husband, George; a daughter, Karen Lynn (husband David) Ford; grandson, Ryan (wife Kristie) Ford; twin granddaughters, Katie (fiancé Travis Weldon) Ford and Kelley (fiancé Danny Stork) Ford; three great grandpups, Tucker, Dexter and Scout and a niece, Nancy Walcher.
Visitation: 9:30-10:30 am Monday, March 14, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10:30 am Monday, March 14, 2016 at Staab Funeral Home with Monsignor David Lantz officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery
Memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control.
