We have many good memories of Pastor Hellyer and our time at Southern View Chapel. We know he is better off now in heaven with the Lord and those who have gone before him, but sad because we miss him and his love for the Word of God and his amazing memory of scripture and poetry.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Rev. Hellyer was my Pastor for many years of my life and officiated at my wedding in 1974. He was a true man of God and knew the Bible inside and out, much by memory, and, even though he will be missed by family and friends, he lived a full life and is now reunited with his wife, Alice, and the Lord he loved and served for served for so many years. May God be your comfort as only He can and rejoice in the fact that you will meet again. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
Pastor Hellyer was a kind man with a great love for God and His Children. He led me into the new birth when I was very young and I know we will meet again some day!
Deepest sympathy to the Hellyer Family.

We were saddened to hear of Pastor Hellyer's passing but we also know that he is with his Lord that he loved dearly and served all his life. He married us on April 3, 1971 at So. View Chapel and was so faithful to look in on my mom and dad (Jim and Liz Lorscheider).

So sorry to hear about the passing of Rev. Hellyer...he was a "constant" during my teens and through the years I've been able to more or less keep track of happenings since two of his grandchildren are my nephews. :) Whenever our paths connected, he was always obviously happy for the occasion, always gracious and kind. God granted him a long, productive, blessed life so that he could in turn bless others. My sincere condolences to you, Bob, and to all the family.
