RICHLAND, WA - Eric (Ric) Charles Bantle, 52, of Richland, Washington, passed away, September 25, 2010.
He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, October 29, 1957. Ric graduated from South wood High School, Shreveport, Louisiana in 1975 and received a Bachelor's Degree from Louisiana Tech University in 1979. He married Lisa G. Rahm on September 15, 1979 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He began in his career as an Estimator/Project Manager in Shreveport, Louisiana before moving to Chatham, Illinois in 1987. He worked for R.D. Lawrence, O'Shea Builders, Sangamo Construction and the State of Illinois (CDB). Ric had been working in Richland, Washington for the last several years.
He was a member of the Chatham Jaycees for many years and was active in the Annual Sweet Corn Festival. Ric was a loving father and enjoyed coaching his son and daughter's sports teams when they were young. He was a kind, gentle father that will be greatly missed by his daughter and son.
Ric was preceded in death by his Father, Alfred C. Bantle. He is survived by his mother, Doris G. Bantle of Shreveport, Louisiana; his daughter, Erika L. Bantle of Chat ham, Illinois; son, C. Reed Bantle of Chatham, Illinois; siblings, Vanessa (Mike) Shadix of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Valerie (Mike) Liles of Haughton, Louisiana; Carl (Angel) Bantle of Bossier City, Louisiana and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Monday, October 11 from 4:30-7 p.m. at Hope Evangelical Church, 3000 Lenhart Road, Springfield, Illinois.
