Carla and Uncle Bud, She is an exemplar of the ministry of the baptized. Her twin professions of faith and science will continue to serve her family and community, in the same way I watched your home steadily expand over the years. We remain in awe of the way, a few days after a reunion, she duplicated it at New Salem for our 1987 visit. What a remarkable "Child of Ruth Edwards" and a true Edwards Heir. RIP, Aunt Fern.

Dear Bud and Carla,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and may the memories of your wife and mother bring you comfort in the days ahead. Fern's obituary was beautiful yet I could think of so much more that could have been said. I fondly remember the way her eyes seemed to be smiling when she was listening or talking to you.
Sincerely,

Bud & Carla:
This was such a shock. I heard what a wonderful time she had at the family reunion less than 1 week earlier. I will always remember how helpful she was assisting us with the family genealogy. Also seeing her and Aunt Gladys in TN when my mother was in the hospital with a stroke was like seeing two angels from Heaven. The Edwards girls sure stuck together! God bless all of you.
