Helen Tohlen Obituary
Springfield, IL—Helen Fafoglia Tohlen, 96, of Springfield, passed away at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at Lewis Memorial Garden Villa.
Helen was born January 30, 1925, in Springfield, the daughter of Ottaviano and Giovanna Marcelli Fafoglia. She married Russell A. Tohlen on April 1, 1945, in Los Angeles, CA; he preceded her in death on January 19, 2003, after 58 years of marriage.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Private burial will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
The family is being served by Butler Funeral Home—Springfield, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.

Otto,
So sorry to hear about aunt Helen. What a fun and wonderful lady. She was always so nice to me. I have great memories of her and the whole gang in the cabin in Havana all those years we went there.

My mother, Anna Marie Diefenback, and I will miss dinners and visits with Helen. We enjoyed the time we shared with her. We pray for Helen's family and friends.
