James MILBY Obituary

SHELBYVILLE, IL - James L. "Jim" Milby, 93, of Shelbyville, Ill., died Friday, Nov. 27, 2015.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date.

Jim was born May 5, 1922, in Springfield, Ill., the son of Joseph and Ida Perkins Milby. He married Irene Smith.

Jim was a self-taught musician, known for his talent as a piano and fiddle player.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; son, Russell (Cathy) Milby of Petersburg, Ill.; daughters, Sandy Milby of Mulkeytown, Ill., and Linda (Norman) Robards of Flora, Ill.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings.
