James Yannone Obituary
SPRINGFIELD - James Yannone, 53, of Springfield died at 11:32 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2009, at his residence.
James was born September 28, 1956, in Springfield, the son of Marion and Lena Mannino Yannone.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Yannone.
He is survived by his son, Cory Yannone of Riverton; one brother, Frank Yannone of Springfield; and four sisters, Millie Vogel and Marie McGrew of Springfield, and Marilyn (Dennis) Barnett and Lousie Housley of Riverton.
Cremation will be accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.
A memorial gathering will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2009, at the Eagles Club, 1146 E. Lincoln St., Riverton, IL.

To Jimmy's many friends and family,
We miss you allready,Jimmy! That unforgettable grin and confidence that you had everyone's back, if need be. We don't find that every day in a who gives a darn world. Not so with Jim. A lot of Heart, Soul, and Dynamite inside a compact package.
We will miss you plenty, around town and at outings.
We soon won't forget the fond and fun, memories, and times that seemed to follow Jim around.

Grew up with Jimmy, lived on Enterprise. We shared some colorful life experiences together. Seen him about 5 years ago, we laughed at are stupidity. Sorry to the family about our loss.

To a fellow classmate and a guy I always considered my friend.I graduated with Jim from Lanphier in 1975 and will miss seeing him out and about town and catching up with him.I always gave him grief because he didn't wrestle or play football after his sophomore year and believe me he could have.The man lit up the room as far as I was concerned and was true Northend.That is the supreme compliment coming from another Northsider.I am going to miss you at the 35th reunion man--we will all miss you Jimmy Yannone.But will never forget the memories you gave us.Save me a place my good man.

I was very sad and shocked to learn Jimmy had passed on. My family and I lived next door to Jimmy as he was growing up. He could be a "Stinker" but I always thought the world of him. I will miss seeing him now and then and reliving old times. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
