I appreciate this reminder and still remember her talking to me at my parents funeral. I'd like to say hi to her daughters and sons sometime; I'll ask my sister if she gets any message from this web site.

Jean was truly part of God's grace to my family. She was my mother's and sister's close loving friend and a kind mothering presence throughout my entire life. What a blessing to talk to her at my niece Sarah's wedding; I remember clearly her smile, laugh and how well she knew me as a child.

To Gene and all of the Shutt family,
I am so sorry for your tremendous loss. I feel so blessed to have been included in your family by Jean, Gene, and Joy. Jean was the perfect mother and friend. She exuded love from every pore. I am comforted by the fact that she is in heaven with both my folks and I have another guardian angel.
Memories shared from my dad growing up next door to Gene and cattie-corner to Jean. Growing up and going to U of I and then moving to Springfield and staying lifelong friends. Jean was there with my mom and I the day my dad passed and then with me with the passing of my mom.
The friendship didn't end then either. I am still included in family news via e-mail and phone calls. My daughter was included for visits to sit and talk and remember.
I feel truly blessed to have had Jean in my life. I feel a tremendous loss. She will be greatly missed.

Grandma Shutt was a legend to those of us who knew her. The Bible teaches us to mirror the life of Jesus, and no one did a better job than Grandma. We will miss her dearly on this earth, but rejoice in knowing she will be with us in spirit while she resides in Heaven. We love and miss you Grandma.

Jean never realized how beautiful she was! She was a natural beauty inside out. I was often jealous of her family because if you were in it I knew you were loved unconditionaly by Jean. I was Blessed to have been loved by her as a friend. The clients of Proud Mary's Salon and I will always remember Jean's Loving Heart. God Bless and Keep each one of her family in his Loving Arms. Sincerely with Love
