Joshua Brooks Obituary
AUBURN - Joshua S. Brooks, 20, of Auburn died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, as the result of
a car accident.
He was born Aug. 4, 1988, in Germany, the son of Stephen and Annette Dahnel Brooks.
Josh was a 2006 graduate of Auburn High School, where he was a multiple letter winner in sports. He received his associate degree from Robert Morris College and received a scholarship to play baseball.
Josh was a member of Cornerstone Community Church in Auburn.
Surviving are his parents, Stephen and Annette Brooks; a brother, Sean Brooks; grandparents, Heinz Dahnel of Germany and Charles and Janice Whited of Arenzville; great-grandmother, Helen Brooks of Auburn; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, at Cornerstone Community Church in Auburn, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, with the Rev. Michael Long, officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been set up at UCB in Auburn to help with final expenses.

Bramley Funeral Home in Auburn is in charge of arrangements.

Annette -I did not have the honor of knowing Josh - but I know he had to be a special person because of his mama. (You take care of my dad, Albert Gasen, at the home.) I hadn't known Josh very long, but he made a big impact in my life. I made a friendship with him almost immediately. It's hard to believe he's really gone, but he will be missed by so many people, and his family will be in everyone's prayers. Josh will never, ever be forgotten, and no one could ever take his place. Josh came into our family 5 years ago. We were not sure we were ready to have boys coming over to see Lauren! He jumped right into our hearts and made a place for life.
