Marjorie BOLLINGER-LEET Obituary

SPRINGFIELD, IL -Marjorie A. Bollinger-Leet, 77, of Springfield, died at 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, at Symphony of Lincoln.

She was born Aug. 23, 1938, in Springfield, to Paul A. and Dorothy M. Schneider Archer. She first married Allen E. Bollinger in 1959 and he preceded her in death in 1986. She later married Charles Leet, Sr. in 1990, and he preceded her in death in 2014.

Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Bollinger of Springfield; three stepchildren: Michelle Collins, Rusty (Jackie) Leet and Chad (Beth) Leet, all of Riverton; eight grandchildren: Corbyn Bell, Tim Collins, Christopher (fiancée, Marissa) Collins, Andrea (Andy) Burk, Dylan Leet, Ashley Gilbert, Madison Leet and Claire Leet; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Helen Bartolomucci of Springfield; one brother, John (Mary Ann) Archer of Springfield; one aunt, Connie Schneider of Indianapolis, Ind.; and nieces and nephew: Connie Young of Springfield, Tina Archer of Chicago and John H. Archer, Jr. (Andrea) of Bettendorf, Iowa.

Marjorie retired after 45 years from Horace Mann as an Assistant Vice President of Life Claims. She was also a former owner of Delaney's Bar and Grill for 13 years. She was a member of the National Association of Insurance Women; the American Legion Post 32 Ladies Auxiliary; La Femmes; VFW Post 10302 Ladies Auxiliary; and she enjoyed shopping and traveling.

The family will be hosting a memorial gathering from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at the VFW Post 10302 followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m.

Private burial will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to: VFW Post 10302 or the La Femmes Nursing Program.
