Michael Johns Obituary
Michael Johns, age 63, of Cantrall, passed away on October 21, 2016 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his husband, Stephen Goodson of Cantrall; sister, Vicky Barton of Edwardsville; sister-in-law, Teresa (Scott) Blauvelt of Cantrall; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and close friends, Debbie Brown and Buster.
Michael is preceded in death by both parents.
He was born on June 9, 1953 in Alton, the son of Victor and Goldie Dix-Johns.
Michael graduated from MacMurray College with a Bachelor's Degree.
Michael worked for the Illinois Lottery as a data processor.
Visitation will be held on Monday October 24, 2016 from 10:00 AM until the time of funeral service at 11:00 AM at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens, IL.
Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Springfield.
Rev. Ken Gennicks will be officiating.
Memorials can sent to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC).
