NOKOMIS - Paul D. Adden, 86, of Nokomis died at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 3, 1923, in Nokomis Township. He married Gladys V. Taylor on Aug. 21, 1945; she preceded him in death on Sept. 18, 2008.
He also was preceded in death by a son at birth, David; and two brothers, Vern and Gene Adden.
He is survived by three children, Gerald (Carol) Adden of Nokomis, Lois (Joseph) Hlavaty of Bingham Farms, Mich., and Glenn Adden of Champaign; and a brother, Carl (Isabelle) Adden of Morrisonville.
Paul was a farmer and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Nokomis, with Pastor James Norton officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Nokomis.
