R. Drew Meegge
BATH, IL - R. Drew Meegge, 55, of Bath, Ill., passed away at 4:50 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2015, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Ill.
He was born March 28, 1960, in Havana, Ill., the son of Ronald and Marilyn (Finch) Meegge.
Drew married Kimberly Kolves on Feb. 29, 1992, and she survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Marilyn; uncles, Leon (Laurel) Finch of Suwanee, Ga., and Dwight (Linda) Finch of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; aunts, Rosalie (Allen, deceased) Avery of Titusville, Fla., and Noretta (Ed, deceased) Moore of Dallas, Texas; along with 12 cousins.
Drew was preceded in death by his father, Ronald, and one uncle, Ronald (Donna) Finch.
Drew graduated from Balyki High School in Bath, Ill., and attended Illinois College in Jacksonville.
Drew had a great entrepreneurial spirit and was involved in many different business ventures. He was quick witted and enjoyed traveling and good food. He liked listening to music and studying history. He was an avid sports fan and spent time duck and deer hunting.
Drew was a caring son, a loving husband and a wonderful friend. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2015. The Rev. Brian Lesemann will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Bath Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to: Mason District Hospital.
