PETERSBURG - Robert Frederick Reisch, 87, of Petersburg died March 1, 2007, in Springfield.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2007, in Camp Butler National Cemetery. Hurley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

You were very kind to my girl scout troop the winter evening that we came to carol to you and bring you treats. The girls were so excited and your generosity was very appreciated. You were a positive influence to those girls and to me as well. I hope that you know/knew that you left that legacy behind. Thank you.

You were a truly great person and a good friend. You always had a kind comment and truly showed a great interest in many of the same subjects that I treasure. You will be greatly missed by all of your many friends and the community of Petersburg. The Lord will be with you throughout eternity.

Dr. Bob, That was the name the students of our Science Olympiad Team fondly gave to you. As a teacher I would like to thank you for all the support and encouragement you gave to me and the team members. Your words were always nice to hear. As a friend I would like to thank you for your kindness. Your sparkle in your eyes and enthusiasm for everything. You were always so good to my daughters. They appreciated your kind thoughts and stories. Bless you and your beloved wife. I hope I can live my life as you did in many ways.

I was Bob's realtor when he and Jo bought their historic home on the hill in Petersburg. He was such an intellectual man with such a brilliant history and she was so creative. I chatted with him last after Jo's passing--they are together again in a better place. My sympathy and prayers.
