Roseanne ESCHENFELDT Obituary

Rosanne

Eschenfeldt

CHATHAM, IL - Rosanne Eschenfeldt died Dec. 15, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center with her family by her side.

Rosanne was born in Springfield on Jan. 30, 1949, to Bruno & Bernadine Venturini, the first of eight children. She graduated from Ursuline Academy and married the love of her life, Bob Eschenfeldt, on Nov. 27, 1971.

Rosanne was an extremely loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend. She had an indomitable spirit and a zest for life that was unequaled. She approached nearly everything she did with whole-hearted excitement and unwavering enthusiasm and will be endearingly remembered for many of her joyful eccentricities. Rosanne had a heart of gold and would do most anything for most anybody. She loved her music, in particular The Beatles, The Eagles, Dan Fogelberg, and most recently the band Venice. She also loved Christmas time, shopping at the Chatham Goodwill store, cherished her beloved rabbit, Pink-eye, and had an extraordinary gift for poetry. But above all, Rosanne loved and lived unabashedly for her family, most especially her husband, children, and grandchildren. For those of us who were touched by her, our lives will never be the same.

Rosanne was preceded in death by her dad, Bruno Venturini, and her brother, Jim Venturini.

In addition to her husband, Bob, Rosanne is survived by her mother, Bernadine Venturini of Springfield; her children, Paul Eschenfeldt and Rachel Christen of Chatham; her grandchildren, Celia, Jack, and Joe; her sister, Mary Teresa Venturini (husband, Larry Dunham) of Springfield; her brothers: Mike Venturini, Bill (wife, Barb) Venturini, Dennis Venturini, Paul (wife, Amy) Venturini, all of Springfield, and John (wife, Carole) Venturini of Sherman; sister-in-law, Scherryll (husband, Rick) Sarver of Butler; and many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation and Funeral Mass: The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 6 p.m., Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at St. Joseph the Worker Church in Chatham, the Rev. Dennis Kollross officiating.

Private burial will be at Chatham Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: The Animal Protective League.

What I remember most about my cousin Rosanne was her joy of life and laughter. She told great stories-dressing up as Baby Jane for John's birthday being one. But my favorite memory would have to be her showing me a teaspoon used by the Beatles that had been taken from their hotel room. I'd never seen anything as cool. And she was the coolest person to have it.

So sorry for your loss. I will be keeping you all in my prayers. Favorite memory- at one of Rachel's famous white elephant Christmas parties, Rosanne wanted us to take a picture of the group with her camera. She first had to find out if we knew how to use her camera because it was one of the "old time ones with film" :)
