Stephen Grover Obituary
Stephen Vance Grover, 59, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center.
Stephen was born on October 29, 1956 in Salt Lake City, UT the son of Robert William and Myrtle Jones Grover.
Stephen worked for the City Water Department and retired after many years. He was a member of Elliott Avenue Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a St. Louis Cardinal's Fan.
He was preceded in death by his father; and daughter, Stacey Grover.
He is survived by two daughters, Lindsey (Joe Harms) Grover of Springfield and Tiffany Grover of St. Louis, MO; mother, Myrtle Grover of Springfield; grandchildren, Aaralena Bierbaum and Andrew Grover; three brothers, Robert, Fred (Jill) and Michael (Tammy) Grover all of Springfield; two uncles, Daniel (Geri) Jones of Edwardsville and John (Sandy) Jones of Evansville, IN; two aunts, Rosebud Jones of Springfield and Catherine Kornfeld of Lincoln, NE; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Mark Estrop officiating. Cremation will follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Rip Steve , you will be missed by many . You were a great man . Alot of great memories and laughs . One of my favorites was when you came to my Halloween party dressed in a tutu .. never for get that day .. you touchrd so many people's hearts and my sister being one of them . Steve was a great friend. He was my best friend and I loved him. I got sick and he invited me to come stay with him.(LOL). He was a great friend that would do anything for you at any time. I could go on forever. He was my buddy and I will miss him dearly. RIP

My friend. I will miss you. To his family my deepest sympathies. Greatest guy in my life. Never let me down. Always had my best interests in his heart. He loved racing. Don't actually think he rooted for one driver per say he just wanted too see a great race. Love that man.
