CHARLES BRAGG JR. Obituary

April 30, 1948 - November 15, 2015

Died: Nov 15th, 2015 Sedro-Woolley, Washington Charles Lawrence Bragg Jr. was born in Bethesda, Maryland and grew up throughout Northern California as a child.

He attended De Anza high school in Richmond, and was in the graduating class of 1966. Upon graduating early, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps in June of that year and completed his service with them in August of 1973 at the rank of Corporal.
He immediately re-enlisted into the 1st Battalion 143D Field Artillery, California Army National Guard and completed his first duty with them in 1975. From 1975-1979 he was in The United States Armed Forces, and from 1979-1984 he was back with the California Army National Guard and finished his military career with them at the rank of Staff Sargent. 17 years of service.

He enjoyed his employments at a variety of different jobs in his civilian life in the grocery, tire, and retail business. He also worked for The Washington State Ferries as a traffic controller and a cook later in his life, right before he officially retired in 2006.

In 2001, he moved from San Pablo, California to Sedro-Woolley, Washington and has resided there for the past 14 years, up until the day he passed.

He loved driving up to Mount Baker and shooting his guns in the winter time, in recent summers he volunteered his time to the high school wrestling team, manning the grill at their burger stand at the local carnival to raise funds.

He loved lattes and mochas and frequented all of the coffee stands in town, driving his blue 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with his black Labrador Homer, riding in the bed of the truck.

He was a loving son, brother, cousin, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He truly gave his heart, to the ones that he loved.

He is survived by his mother, Donna Fanucchi. His sister, Sara Jett. And his daughter, Rachel Bragg Dopp. His 6 grandchildren: James Earl Porter, Immanuel Jeremy Bragg, Jessica Ann Yost, Noel Bragg Malig Jr. III, Julia Renee Dopp, and Jacob William Crigger. His 2 great grand-daughters: Aylah Johnetta Bragg and Nora Faye Bragg. His 3 goats: Willie, Thunder, and Lightning. And his 2 dogs: Hunter and Gracie.

He is preceded in death by his first wife/mother of his daughters, Arelene Carter. His eldest daughter, Donna Johnetta Bragg. His great grand-daughter, Atlas Dawn Malig. And his first dog, Homer Toad Bragg.

He is deeply missed.
