Christine Brisco Obituary

Oak Harbor, WA - Christine Grace Brisco aka Sissy, Chris, Chrissy, Honey Girl, Mom, Nana, and MIL was born on May 14, 1953 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a proud Navy brat and lived many places in her life. She graduated from Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan, then returned stateside and graduated from Lake Superior State University/University of Michigan with a degree in business.

She then moved to Oak Harbor, Whidbey Island, Washington with her parents where she found her entrepreneurial spirit and went on to successfully co-own several businesses. In 1975, she met and married Gary Brisco and had one daughter. She had many passions in life including travel, reading, painting, music, socializing with family and friends, master joke-telling, playing cards and games, and her impressive shoes/heels collection. She was a diehard Seahawks and Wolverines fan and was always a proud and loving cat owner.

Christine will be so missed by her daughter, Cari Gorsh, her son-in-law Curt, her grandchildren Lexi and Lucas, and many cherished family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Nancy Yaw. To honor her wishes, she was cremated and her ashes will be spread in Lake Huron in July.

A Celebration Of Life will be held in Washington next summer. The family asks that memorial donations be made to The National MS Society (nationalmssociety.org) in Christine's name as a thank you for their support in her longtime battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
