CORRINE MAY SWANSON

Corrine May Swanson passed away peacefully January 15, 2018.

She was born in San Francisco on September 10, 1922. She moved to the La Conner area as a child. She and her brother Keith Sarkisian grew up with the Bell cousins. Corrine graduated from La Conner High School and later became an elementary school teacher in Concrete.

She was married to Vernon Swanson and had five children.

Corrine enjoyed painting, bridge, reading and spending time with friends and family. She was a sweet, gentle loving soul who had a kind word for all.

Corrine was preceded in death by her parents Nick Sarkisian and Edna Flynn; brother Keith Sarkisian; Vernon Swanson; brothers-in-law Austin and Kermit Swanson, and daughter Lorraine.

She is survived by Jeff, Kirby and wife Evelyn, Tammy, Dean and Becky Swanson, Dan Toyama, and sister-in-law Margaret Sarkisian. She also is survived by 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family hopes you can join them for Corrine's graveside service on Saturday, January 20, 2018, 1:00 at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Following the service please join the family for refreshments at the La Conner Retirement Inn.
