I did not have the honor of knowing Dave personally.
Sara, Jesse and family,
As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you find comfort in the precious memories and continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
Sincerely,
Mary Pierce

Dave was a valued member of my Road Less Traveled study group. This led to wonderful, in-depth discussions and deep friendships. Our group celebrated happy and sad times together over the years and we all became fast friends. Rest in Peace dear friend.

Happy heavenly birthday, Dave! I imagine you celebrating in heaven with your guitar, all your pets who preceded you, and a song around a big campfire. I have so many wonderful memories of times spent with you at the EEU, in the Lake Washington Transition Program, at American Lake camping with our students, in "the family" and our Road Less Traveled study group, at our LWSD special education retreats, and running into you at preschool events. During all of these adventures, you were the extra sparkle that made these events meaningful and memorable. Thanks for all the memories!!
Dave was witty, spiritual, insightful, joyful and an inspiration to me. I knew him to be a teacher and friend extraordinaire who touched the lives of everyone deeply. He will be deeply missed by many. I wish to extend my most sincere condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace dear friend.

My condolences to the Ehman family. As someone who was privileged to have Dave as a friend back in the 70s and 80s, I am saddened to hear of his passing. I wish we had kept in touch through the years. However, the memories of those times are ones I´ll never forget. Beers shared, softball games played, and church functions; all better having Dave there. My favorite is when he started his car with the clutch engaged and another friend and I were in front of the car, looking under the hood. When we all realized we were okay, we had a good, long laugh. Rest in peace, my friend.
