Very sorry to hear about Don’s passing, I considered him more than just a colleague but a friend. After the call I received from Don in June I knew the time was near but we were able to express our thoughts about the years long friendship between us. While i found out too late to attend his memorial service, our exchange of words prior to passing left us with no words unsaid. You will be missed.

Don and LInda were my neighbor for years on the slough. What an awesome and amazing person. He just had a way with words and communicating with people which more people need to practice. I remember when he and Linda came out and were looking at the Hungerford house after they passed away. I went over and told them you guys need to buy this haha not like they did not know it. They were both super people and I shared many a crab with Don and LInda of course there was always beer in the frig out on the deck and we had our share. RIP buddy we miss ya. Oh ,and hit them straight. Russell Jensen

Friends come and friends go but are never replaced. The memories of happy times we shared together will always be in a special place in our hearts. When we think of you it makes us smile, like talking Husky football over fresh crab and cold beer. You will be greatly missed on the channel.

Don was a great friend. One who always took the time to talk. He had a very kind way of approaching people and could participate in any discussion without raising too much emotion or ire, yet get his point across or ask a thoughtful question.
Some of our best times were when he would just stop by for coffee, or a quick chat.
He will be missed greatly, especially when I drive by LaConner and see the channel.
When I see a friend like him pass, I really feel that life has blessed us for our knowing him, even for a short while.
I always feel that there is never is enough time, and we have to be thankful for what we were given.

I find it difficult to add any words after reading the obituary. This truly captured Don's life. We all have special memories and moments to hold on to.
